klinkley Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I had a problem with a cat, he actually got onto the loft by climbing onto the fence then jumping onto the 3ft high chicken wire I've got around the sides and back of the loft , climbed over it and caught one of my rollers (that's determination). I bought some Prikastrips and run them along the fence. To date I have had no more problems, and that was two months ago.

THE PRIEST Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 use a ultrasonic device that runs on batteries it cost about £30.00 from b&q. it took about 2 days for it to take effect but i have very few problems now. my loft is about 30 yards from the homes of two cats andthey dont seem to bother as much now.. :

Cats are supposedly territorial, so your one should keep the others at bay. Need to train it that the birds are out of bounds. Perhaps someone can help there?
AshleyW Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 just keep an eye on it around the birds, if you see it taking an interest chuck a bucket of water over it/ hose it. Did it with my old cats and they soon learn to leave the birds alone
