has anyone ever thought of a relay team race ,,, say 300 flying south then swapping rubbers then releasing the one going 300 mile north ,, or something worked round that,, even involving teams of four fanciers with four birds :)

NO, BUT I HAVE THOUGHT OF RACING THE BELGIANS.

I00 OF OUR TOP DOO MEN AGAINST THE SAME AMOUNT OF THEIRS.

1 YEAR IN OUR COUNTRY-NEXT YEAR IN THEIRS-SORT OF ONE LOFT RACE-IM SURE THEIR NOT AS GOOD AS THEY MAKE OUT!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds a very interesting idea, i am sure there would be a lot of interest created and its certainly different.

even if it was for charity,," round the uk" would put the pigeons in a better light ,and make good news coverage ,,even tv  , but even a race would be interesting [remember lots of things could come good with that,, hawks etc :-/]

yes, im sure , with the proper pro, this could be a great money spinner for say,,"cancer relief"   picking 4 teams from each area , from fraserburgh to lands end, and back in say 100 mile races [stages] this could be worked out quite easy with north roaders and south roaders , you would get at least 10 main cities [or more ] sponsors per pigeon per mile , this could cover 1000 miles easy in short steps , you would get plenty media attention at  the 10 cities and possibly tv coverage if done right,,,,even pigeon basics members  could do this, and as this would be something  completely different to all other" stunts" would surely show fanciers in the best light,, i,e get the public on our side ,, i would say definately worth thinking about ,,,,,and it would be fun

Think they used to do it during the war, get a pigeon with a message then tranfer it to another fresh one and send it on.

another good idea , poly [the schools] i think if we could get enough p,b members interested and some more ideas , it would be quite feasible,  it could  also be quite fun as well.
