Guest Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Does anyone know the rates for Amtrak and if possible where they can be accessed? I have two consignments coming tommorrow, one with 6 birds and my amtrak depot have told me the cost is £48 and the other 3 birds and they say the cost is £40, can this be right? Thanks Alan

Guest Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Thanks lads, wish the other carriers came down to Devon. Interesting though is that when I moved down here two years ago I had a bird sent to the taunton franchise and thought they'd overcharged me then. Since then I moved in to devon and get my birds from Newton abbot amtrak franchise and they have been excellent. However I arranged for these tomorrow to be delivered at work which is covered by the Taunton franchise........... God I'm getting paranoid ..........I'll just pay them the £88 they want :'( :'(........................... The hell I will; stay paranoid and pay £65 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I'll let you know tomorrow what happens!!

homer Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 amtrak take the p**s, when they had some competition from interlink the cost of transporting birds was a little more reasonable.
