genuine fanciers will help out any pigeon fancier if its for racing or they just want to keep some birds .

 

i find it sad that anyone requiring help be it birds or selling seem to get a hard time ,

 

OLDGUY asking to buy logans for his daughter ,whats the problem hes asking to buy not scrounge them .yet he has to run the gauntlet of being interegated for wanting logans the most popular white breed on these shores for years .

 

the solution to help anybody wanting help is to ask them privatley if you have any doubts give them nothing .

 

now if someone asks me for a pigeon for his five year old daughter whats the problem ,its yes or no ,i dont have to give a pedigree for the bird ,i dont have to say its a good bird it will breed you hundreds of winners ,its a pigeon and a pigeon viewed has worthless to the owner or he would not be giving it away.

 

when people ask for pigeons if you do not want to give dont answer ,they will go else where or direct them to the bhw or rp where they can buy pigeons .

i fully understand ur post eagleowl,but where does it say anything about oldguy?..he choose to post on this thread and insult members who he says did not trust his intentions!

i think insults to this thread by him just showed why so many choose to be curious about helping new fanciers etc,...i am delivering birds to a fancier tomorrow who is 20+mls away and having to sort out more to help someone else out again this week!.

i dont see any problem with asking questions as long as u explain to the person ur helping that because of scams ,ur gonna ask some questions.

i think most fanciers who are being helped will answer any question as long as it dont get personal.

if theres nothing to hide they wont bite!!!

would u go to buy a car without asking questions about it?

reading this thread i had been reading doves about OLDGUY , i can understand people getting upset when you are questioning there honesty and motives for wanting the birds ,when he stated it was for his five year old daughter .

 

what if he is not in a club but still wants them for his daughter ,i would have no problem helping this man for his daughter ,possible fancier of the future that this sport needs .

 

a novice has to start some where ,when i lent my entire stock team to a young nine year old who could not afford pigeons ,was greatly received in the club as he would not win anything ,untill he started taking them to the cleaners then can you believe a member didnt want him taking any monies out the club he won ,because he was to young to gamble.

 

we have seen arguments on here latley for calling it a sport ,by sportsman take people has you find them ,lets not treat everyone as coxy

 

paul yes i know you have helped members out on here so have many other fanciers and i applaud you for doing so ,but lets not get into a situation of police state demanding twenty questions when asking for help .has some people can find this offensive espeacilywhen they wanted information where to PURCHASE birds

im not bothered feel free to ask me any questions ????? im just starting up and all you lot had to do that so theres no problem from my side .... ive had a very good response from people but the more the merrier people as ive said ive a near enough empty loft ... 7 so far and greengrass giving me a couple so that will be 9 !!!! please god

oh dear the forum is like so many on the internet, and i thought it may be different

 

one too many silly fools thinking there is some kind of conspiracy and all those who joined after they have, are fake, or TROLLS trying to wind up the members

 

if i need to have people to vouch for me it certainly will not be just for wanting to buy a few birds for the grand daughter.. white racers look more like fantails and are acceptable to the women of the household !!!!

 

I have had a few mails inviting me to contact various breeders and to those people i am thankful...but to those who question my intentions ..GET A LIFE

 

Oh and for the record I am well known to the well known people who matter in pigeon racing, but i'm not known as a keeper of birds..... plus i dont go round begging for what i want to buy

Well Bruno, let's get balance back. Firstly my apologies if I misunderstood the old guys intention but his post above suggests that he would not be prepared to provide proof. My point and I appreciate he may not have ben asking for birds, was that who would be afraid to verify themselves?

However what I didn't like was the remark that he knew people that mattered and suggested by implication that those on here do not, if that is the case why post on here in the first place?

Now I mean it when I say I apologise if I misunderstood intentions. It's time I moved off for a while I think and keep my nose out.
