hi new to pigeons

hi all some of you may know me from other places well as i said im new to all this

 

and feeling a bit lost i have designed my loft 16 x 8 ill post a pic of the design

 

any help any one can give would be great i have so much to get it seems

 

as i need everything lol wont be racing this year i dont think ill have the loft done in time

 

but ill try well ask me anything you like i live in west wales just outside aberystwyth im 32

Just a small point - how are you going to trap your youngsters when you race them?

 

Is it the bit stuck outside the aviary?

My loft is exactly the same size as yours, only difference is my aviary is the same size as the loft

The first pic is the centre 4' section

The second pic is the outer 6' sections

Plenty room for 20 birds in each section

They are from red star lofts, http://www.redstarlofts.co.uk/online_shop.asp?pid=23&cid=12 in hind sight and if I had the time, I would have made them bigger and made them myself

Yes we did have at one time, quite common some time ago, we used them for quarantining new birds before I built a hut for new or injured birds plus accesories like baskets etc

There is a guy in Edinburgh that keeps all his fancies in hutches on a wall inside an aviary

Save all your hammering for the loft, you will need it, or get a nail gun well worth it ;D ;D ;D

well some nails but ill be using alot of bolts too so i can take it down if i ever move

well m8 on your first year start with bout 35 -40 use all three sections take it steady and wen yyou have so many left stop
