Guest j.bamling Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 ours was our good blue w cock he went to lillers 332 mile and was 2nd club 6th fed 12th Combine beaten by loftmate 2 weeks later he went to the queens cup beauvais 396 mile and was 2nd club 5th fed and in the first 50 of the open beaten by loftmate he then went Tours 498 mile and was 1st club 2nd fed 5th combine he then went back to Beauvais 396 mile winning 1st club 1st fed 1st combine winning £1000 he then went back to lillers 332 miles and won 2nd club 6th fed 16th combine -- 6 racers on the trot winning nearly £2000 he went back the year after and won 5th & 8th Combine again 1954 miles in 6 races of the belt and scored in all 6

p charlton Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 i had a young hen won five young bird races on the trot in 1998 this one hen was sitting from the time me and fellow club member stamped my birds at the start of racing untel the end of the young bird season. glad i had a witness to prove she sat that long. i met the wife the year after i loaned my stock birds to my mate a 100% novice i used pair up for him and help him out 2 sons out of that hen won 15 1sts between them plus 2nd lanes combine. this lad did not have a clue. i got all my and his birds back in 2002 a gand doughter won 1st club rennes over 300miles as a young bird the year after a son of her won 4 1sts as a young bird in 2003. the hen that won the 5 1sts was breed from a Houben stay from a bloke called Brian Green from Brighouse near bradford. sorry if went of topic a bit

Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 I got a gift pigeon from a guy in Grangemouth (willie Sneddon) It was a Brian May staff Van Reet Blue cock This bird won 3 races on the trot for me then 2nd and then it won again went missing after that and came back with the crop full of liquid. Didnt think to pierce or slit it's throat a bit and went in the loft one day and it was laying dead on the floor. :'(
