blackjack Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I would like to ask if any members who resigned from the NFC last season would rejoin ?.I have only stayed in because of the opening of a marking station at Didcot as i only would fly Tarbes and Saintes with them and working full time on 12hr shifts travelling to and from marking. I think the NFC a to expensive for the shorter "sprint " races the BICC only charges £2/bird they need marking bto be more accessable for working people i know thats not easy but an ideas ?.
superleeds Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 may do just for old birds .like you blackjack think thay are a bit on the pricy side, all so a member of bicc and love the way you can just turn up and pay on the day, were in didcot will the marking station be do you know
Roland Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Ummm Blackjack pricey is very true, but on the downer regards BICC the winer gets about £25 - £30 - Rose of course can put that right if needs be. Futher with BICC there are no sections as such. I know most 'Nationals' only favour the better Locations, and is geared for the fringes to supplement their coffers. So I have resigned from the BICC /NFC /MNFC etc. andjsut pay me full subs, and donation to te South Rd. Club this last season ... Will I join? Would only choose one National club, the cheapest to go Pau / Barcelona etc. Then again, they waste our mpney by staying seperate, they should throw the lot together in regards transporting them, and ALL go to the Main distance races together! JMO So am I rejoining ... posiblely just one.
swilcox Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I have rejoined the NFC because i want to fly against the best and whilst i dont really agree with everything the club now stands for i still think its the UK's premier National.

I well understand that Stu, and so do most of us... the best in decent and fairer Sections though for me. I will never beat say the N.East boys on their' day etc. so why should we pump our money into their coffers. Let all section go by Length, and not so much width, and let Section places actually be them meriteous. JMO

blackjack Posted January 15, 2008 Author Report Posted January 15, 2008 Sorry to correct you Roland the BICC do have sections and have just added a northern sect to the 3 already and the prize money is around £100 per section .I must say though the BICC isnt about prize money or pools when you are lucky enough to clock a decent bird in the proper BICC races the internationals its a great high your cloud 9 .Its the same for me from Tarbes in the NFC its not the prizes or pools its knowing you have sent the birds tip top and again getting them in good time is the high.
