FLAPPER 123 Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 anyone give their birds cheese? anyone any thoughts on it?
leighton1984 Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I have seen it before .they give cheese to the birds for the fats in it.
Guest IB Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 It has been mentioned on the forum before, but I don't remember anyone saying that they actually fed it to the birds. I also think it may be copycat from Belgium or Holland as I've seen a DVD featuring Gerard Koopman in which he mixes up 60% peanuts, 30% cheese and 10% sheep fat in a food blender for his birds. Cheese coated peanuts! Could eat that myself. ;D

harky Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 apart from leighton 1984 and davidl...has anyone got any constructive comments instead of stupidity please??? aye .a read it in the bhw that it was only given in tit bits as a treat for the birds and they loved it just like peanuts when out picking about in front of the loft . :) :)
sammy Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 all birds like a bit of cheese now and again ;D
homer Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 apart from leighton 1984 and davidl...has anyone got any constructive comments instead of stupidity please??? well ,for what its worth ,i dont give cheese to my pigeons and i wont give cheese to my pigeons. i am a firm believer in NATURAL methods and cheese is DEFINITELY NOT something that pigeons would take in as part of their natural diet. im sure there are loads of foodstuffs that the birds would relish if offered but that doesnt mean it is good for them. just my opinion !
FLAPPER 123 Posted February 11, 2008 Author Report Posted February 11, 2008 thank you all ...the sort of comment/advise i need being a novice.
