My partner in Holland Raymond Moleveld rang me on monday full of excitment. One of his satelite racing lofts had won 5ft against 40174 pigeons in a hard east wind. I congratulated him and then i sat back and thought of the glory of winning such a race with such high birdages.

Yet in reality even though we have twice the number of fanciers we dont have such an event in the UK, what a shame!!!!!! It some times makes me a little jealous. Can we not use Pigeon Basics as a platform to organise a Blue Chip Race once a year?

Maybe one to cover the south coast to Manchester including wales (lets say Nantes) and one from Manchester up including all of Scotland, and N Ireland. (lets say Piccauville). All birds to be marked at clubs and brought to a meeting place by the feds

and transported to the race point.

We could call it the United Kingdom Grand National!!!!!!!

Happy Days

that would be such a good race but i could never see it happening. the nfc, midlands national, csfc, and the big organisations should arange one big joint lib with the normal nationals been flown within a grand national.

The NRCC only caters for the East Coast Boys, and further have taken / took diabolical liberaties with  the inland flyers.

Any race that is predominated via the mpstly prevalent West in the wind, is just an exercise for the Positioned lofts to have field days in all regards. Any Race that wants to show genuine 'Merit' to the Better birds, must have sections, and also aimed to be liberated where most have a A. helping Wind, or a headish wind for ALL. Like A boat release, or from the most reasonable EASTERN liberation suitable amd reasonablely possible.

Shrewed 'Buyers' of decent pigeons look where the Birds are flying to and how well they fared.
