t-3 clock

my club [which i have just joined] all have t-3 clocks [by way of a grant] most of them appear to have a "quick start" fitted now this is my first year racing info is very hard to get as i am racing [i hope breeding has started very slowly :D]against these guys, what is a quick start and is it worth getting one?

It,s a clip on attatchment, that fits onto the handle of the clock and hold 6 open thimbles, for ease and speed of putting the rubbers in.
