ALF Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Lets just play it by ear and see what happens nearer the time

Lennut Tar Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 do you think we will get across the channel this yr or do you think defra will spoil the fun again. we got all the way to bourges last yr only to be turned back to england.i can see people turning north or calling it a day I don't want to buy into any agument here ;D ;D ;D but the people in charge of defra etc. Must be a bit thick in my view :P . If they consider now, that by not allowing pigeons to cross the pond as we say to race. They are going to keep deceases out of England etc. "To me" They must live in "Noddy land" or on another planet, as they say, with that sort of thinking. Enjoy.
Merlin Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Lets just play it by ear and see what happens nearer the time I think Alfs quite right, there is no option it appears for many, and these circumstances can change overnight, lets hope they dont.
Guest IB Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 And by the way this will be my 1st year flying in the national so lets hope we do ;D 8) 8) Best of luck to you Allan. I'm aiming for the 2 Inland Nationals, and Alencon and Ypres Channel races. It'll be my 1st SNFC Channel Race.
Guest IB Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 do you think we will get across the channel this yr or do you think defra will spoil the fun again. we got all the way to bourges last yr only to be turned back to england.i can see people turning north or calling it a day I've just looked at your poll again. ;D Do YOU mean YES - we'll get over the channel or YES - defra will spoil the fun again. I've voted for the 1st YES ;D
pjc Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I think he means yes we'll go over! Whatever happens we've just got to enjoy the racing we get but the biggest problem is the French, they are the ones that don't want us there! Much better chance by changing your route to Belgium and Germany where the fancy is stronger and have more clout when it comes to allowing racing. Phil
Guest IB Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 the biggest problem is the French, they are the ones that don't want us there! Phil There is something about France in VFTR in BHW. If I read it correctly, France is open to pigeon racing, the French Fancy have convinced their Government that there's little or no danger of spread by pigeons or pigeon racing. Think this has also been communicated to DEFRA , and waiting on a response from them? Moves on Confederation and FCI fronts too, so at least promising?
Guest Hjaltland Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Best of luck lads, its a great shame when you've set up for the distance and cant make full use of it. Never mind , you can always come to Lerwick.
