darkening

assuming that just about everyone who races ybs uses the darkness system what do you use to darken the yb loft down with?

i use 6mm plyboard   , it s  cut to cover  all door  , windows etc etc .  this sits on a  piece  of  two x one  screwed to  loft  , and held  in place with  turn buttons

cloudview, sounds like your blackening the loft not darkening it!

yes pjc it does look  like that  on paper , but in reality  its not  ,  gaps all round my sliding doors   , and vent  at back   of loft  let enough light  through ,

my first year trying darkness i have used the stuff you put on the ground to stop weeds coming up

from 8.30 until 16.30 daylight then my curtains come down

 

i am feeding breed and ween should i keep this going until june?

was going to add red band to this feed would you?

the biggest mistake people make is making the loft to dark, should be closed down to dusk level of light!

bart,   peas and chicken layers 50/50 for my ybsuntil the week before the first race then 50/50 peas and widowhood then once the first race 100% widowhood

am 3 parts pellets 1 part homoform 1 part depurative

 

pm breeding mix plus a little linseed

does that mean your feeding bread and wine, the lord wont help you ;D

do people use curtains ,or blinds or lining from tiling and when do you start from [datewise]
