pjc Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Joe, the TAX effected so few people that there was nothing for them to push for! The RPRA are again trying to get pigeon racing recognised as a sport which will have its own benefits. Phil

Guest chrisss Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 1950s more like the 1850s ;D ;D ;D ;D every thing about the so called governing bodies is wrong [look at the mess ref ets]all they are from region up, are back scratchers ,they recruit from among themselves and are selfserving, but the sad thing is that it will never change it cannot the system [that they all back] is rigged for them
Guest Vic Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 no more , retired MAJOR'S OR GENERAL DOOLITTLES! ;D

timbarra Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 RPRA is a defunked institute whos members of office stand there sucking the life from our sport, what have they ever really done for the sport, NOTHING TO TAKE IT FORWARD. THEY treat there positions as a slush pension fund to gain extra cash until they pop their clogs. the RPRA are nothing more than a modern day highwayman with delapidated ideas.
pjc Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 With so many people constantly knocking the regions and Unions, put your hands up those who hold any office, go to region meetings or sit on council!
retired Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 I dont hold an office anymore. up Until 07 i was secretary of the local club but i really thought due to hassle and back biting it was not worth it, i got it the previous secretary got it and the present secretary gets it now even though all did a good job whilst in office- but always by the F***ers not prepared to do a thing. The club i was secretary of has facilities unrivalled by even the big national clubs in the UK and i guess alot of the problems stem from the responsibility the members have. My point is although i dont agree with what the RPRA do and the methods they use i am NOT prepared to spend my time for free to do the jobs they do so am not really in a position to knock them. If people dont agree with the methods the best thing for them to do is go to their region meetings and start to work up the ladder to make a difference its a slow process but much more productive than just criticising at every opportunity. If you dont want to take an office within the region or the RPRA why not just go to the meetings and have your say there??
timbarra Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 Valence lofts sir, I admire those who do the office jobs, and i have been addressing the way things are done directly with the RPRA and its like talking to a wall. i think were all doomed ;D ;D ;D
Roland Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Me.... well I'm making the most of it till it racing, and the RPRA as we know it, is finished. - Won't be long, the knocker will stiffle all tye last air ourt and Spout a lot of hot air and crucify any genuine person that tries to improve. The favoured located with glip talk will soon wage even more influence, and the grass rootes (WHAT'S LEFT OF THEM) will tol the line and brag the know them whilst sticking money into their pockets. Will I then go over to the monatary siders, the haves and bolster their coffers to littla avail, and no hope of any decent merit, yet increased costs constanley to feed their pleasures... Nah, will just have a mixed bunch of fancy birds and s and a few ole Favourites till they pass on

Ps i Am not knocking the people who are off with genuine problems but the ones who just want to drain every last penny from the system
Guest Paulo Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 In our clubs they are the ones who have the money for everything they want whilst the working amongst us have to scrimp and save. Ps i Am not knocking the people who are off with genuine problems but the ones who just want to drain every last penny from the system Thats it one of the good things about this country is the NHS and welfare system but there are too many people taking the urine. We have whole generations of people from the same familly in our area who have never worked yet my dad worked all his life and paid taxes and nows he's retired early he can't even claim the dole. I'll just miss dinner the next couple of weeks so I can send and have my tea at home still when I finish university there'll be no stupid bollocks barring my promotion at work due to red tape I'll be on 25 - 30k a year and be able to flock fly get on lol ;D ;D ;D
pjc Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 As you say Vallance the only way to get change is to be involved, go to region and have your say /vote! Timbarra, complete waste of time dealing with the RPRA direct as they can only make changes via regions and council. Maybe if you have strong feelings and positive ideas then you should become your clubs region delegate and put your ideas through the appropriate channels!
Guest Paulo Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 when I have more time on my hands I fancy giving club sec and then fed sec a go I will be firm but fair. I think theres too many people in these positions who just give him to the influential fliers in the club rather than trying to be fair and impartial across the boad. I wouldn't mind using my knowledge of building and planning issues to help out fellow fanciers whose local authorities knock their plans back for a loft
retired Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 I took on the region delegates job this year, the chap i replaced had no intrest in it and never went to the meeetings. I look forward to going to them and giving opinions on behalf of the members and myself.
