pjc Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 looks great, I would be careful with the size of wire you use on your flights, it looks quit large which could be prone to cats grabbing birds through the wire and even hawks! Also mice etc can get in to loft through it. Phil
homebird Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 Thanks Alf,and merlin for the good words it means a lot to me to get positive comments from the people who race.

Lennut Tar Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 This is the aspect that the lofts look over 1st photo is the way the birds will come home right handside of the wrekin with a bit of luck :)2nd photo the young bird loft location is an old pig swill house. "Well done" ;D ;D ;D I like your first picture best !!!!!!!!! Not a bad little shack : : : one could say ;) the pitch is that steep, you could just about put them in the roof, & save building more lofts etc, & know doubt :X :X :X here, there would be a few I imagine. That would love to have all that open space around them that you have. Enjoy, & all the best for the future.
doo Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 there would be a few I imagine. That would love to have all that open space around them that you have. Yes I'd love it my loft is surrounded be houses. Great set up Homebird & your birds look fantastic
homebird Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 Lennut tar and doo It is a good place to race pigeons to and I am lucky to have the lofts here if I get good at the racing side it will get bigger here, theres a row of pig styes that will make some stock lofts and a 2/3rds of an acre that was an old garden that could have some upto date lofts put on it but thats in the future. Need to walk first , :)As for the roof pitch you could have pigeons in there but it is a bit crowded what with the bats and the Ghost ;D
