Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 well i think the biggest problem will be stray returns , all unions should make all transporters carry a stray basket , i put my strays in a box with transporter driver and hes more than happy to help them on there way , as for buying birds well id make sure if i was buying i had visited loft and would be happy if not eager to bring any new pigeons to there new home , our lorry will not carry any pigeon that dose not belong to a cornish combine member >:-(

Sorry I can't help but if anyone needs help around the Scottish borders let me know!
billy wilson Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 if they had there licence revoked 3 months ago why have they been still delivering birds from wales to my place also from filey to my place in co durham birds that were reported they must have been doing it illeagle then.

OLDYELLOW Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 our lorry will not carry any pigeon that dose not belong to a cornish combine member >:-( they would have to comply if it were a R.P.R.A rule
Guest cowboy Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 did not all transporters carry a stray basket years ago as my dad you two send is stray back that way but we did not get meny in the go old days
Guest spin cycle Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 according to dovescots list , j cooper logistics has national coverage...except north scotland (possibly link with a scots courier)...so we have national del. service...is that right ? but at what cost ?
Roland Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 if the license was revoked 3 mths ago surely they would be breaking haulage rules and entitled to be fined for it. also they had no insurance to cover the birds in transit. You#re point being :-/ Who really cares eh? Certainly not any one that has had the good fortune to have delivered or rrecieved pigeon by them in the last three months. P.s, Who will possible take action against a defunct outfit that has gone bust becaus ethe money has dried up? Insurers eh! wasn't worth a match, let alone a light any way.
Roland Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Ok, let all pick over the bones of amtrack! Let's glorify their misfortune, and celebrate the mess they have left us to solve. I.e. transporting our birds. If I decide to set up a courier purely for pigeons, I'd struggle to be national etc. But you know what the really of putting eventuality is?! The long knives would be chipping away almost from the off! Within weeks, if not days the sniping back stabbers will be having a poke. Then no sooner another comes along, regardless of how good a service it was, me name would be blacken and derided, and all the supposedly thankful, loyal customers will soon go else where. AM I wrong :B ??)

bewted Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 CAN SOME ONE CONFERM THAT MY POST ARE APPERING ON THIS SITE , YES
terry mccarthy Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 so does anyone cover essex as i havent heard of any
Guest spin cycle Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 we dont need any one else if all members of the RPRA was willing to pay a one of payment once a year of £30 it would mean about £1200,000 a year to have our own company ,you can have all your birds back ,and no more excuses about i cant aford to send for it . you are quite right and i would gladly pay £30 / year (sought of insurance) allthough i'm fortunate not to have had to repatriate a stray since i started ( probably talked that up(dizzy)) i think you'd have to limit the number of repatriations per member as people would abuse it...but perhaps you could transfer unused repatriations to your friends. look at the fuss when rpra upped subs a couple of quid...imagine the uproar at £30...so it would probably be better voluntary. unless of course rpra use rule 142 (evil)(evil)
Roland Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 les, that is logical, don't know how practica, but I'd certainly pay that up gladly ... But the membership will never go for that! Not even a fiver mate. And the RPRA daren't pass it for the out cry of the members. Yet will have to re substantiate that Birds must be retrieved etc. Indeed may even carry out some of it's rulings to make a point I fear.
frank-123 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 think you might have to go to central point to collect your birds from now on what about a haulage contractor like Eddie stobart
