had a yearling racer cock that raised a pr of yb's from 5 days old after losing hen ,did a damn fine job of it aswell,both youngsters where equal in size & quality on weaning ....in my opinion depends on the individual bird ..........

agree on this,it all depends on the pigeon himself and if theres plenty of snap for him.

Its a bit much,as at 5 days old it needs to be kept warm 24/7 this is where the parent will struggle,but again its a question that can only supply its own answer.
