hi how much feed show birds get

some have told me let them feed as much as they want

others keep them hungery

i feed my fantails twice a day

morning a few hand fulls

evening 3 scoops

theres about 20 birds

my racers are eating about one and a quarter to one and a half ounces a day each

Show birds should be fed conditioning seeds and peanuts avery second morning and a good main feed at night. Also a good trick between shows is feeding a dupertive mixture for 3/4 days and as show approaches build up tp 75%dep 25%Mix and then 50 50 and then full mixture. Also a good thing when you feed full mixture is to put cod liver oil on mixture and add Brewers yeast. This brings the birds on no end and they have blown up muscles but not the fatty feel, Nice and solid. But dont make the brewers yeast thing a regular accurance as if used to much it stops taking affect. Just judge it right and the results are brilliant.
