naedoos Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 were dose a club stand if it has 1 member that wants to have ETS but the other members don't want it and no one is willing to use ETS equipment just set the equipment yourself, problem solved
sheryl666 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 rules state no one can stop you using it but you must use two officails of the club to help set the clock/ mark pigeons etc. our club made everyone ets officials so everyone could help thats where your problem lies, have a chat with your fed sec/ region comitee if the club gets arsey and wont train on how to use it you have the right to go any club already using ets or have there officals come to you.
Guest spin cycle Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 were dose a club stand if it has 1 member that wants to have ETS but the other members don't want it and no one is willing to use ETS equipment the rule used to be that the club had to have officers competent and willing to use ets....then it had the 'willing' part deleted in an effort to compel club officers to use it. that leaves the problem of how to determine if someone is / isn't competent particularly if they are unwilling to learn and what sanction to use,on the club, if they are unwilling but capable of learning. for instance if someone can do results on computer does that demonstrate they are able to learn ets. if all that sounds like a 'dogs breakfast' then... thats exactly what the current ets rules are. i'm prepared to wait until the consensus in my club is for ets...then i'll consider it
