PATTY BHOY
what would be the best distance for these birds.
OLDYELLOW
Have to agree with middle to distance birds from there type
The Navigator
I think from looking at the pedigrees of mine that they are to better suited from 250 plus, the only reason i say this is i see alot of the Maurice Delbar in the pedigrees of some. No doubt i will be corrected but thats my opinion. Agree, 250 onwards.
PATTY BHOY
An excellent distance line well suited to the longer, tougher races. They cross well with Janssens to produce general distance racers.

OLDYELLOW
well if louella got hold of them they'd be in a lot more lofts and they'll take a couple of years to get a good team of them together
Bad Trapper
I see there is a sale at Tipton on Sunday of Jos Thone's. Not sure how much they wil make as the Auction prices have been down lately, suppose it might have something to do with the current economic climate. john@formula 1 lofts
I think there have been some very good results in national racing with the Jos Thone birds. Brain Sheppard 1st and 2nd International. J&J Brady 1st,2nd,10th 12th,19th & 22nd open nfc also 2x2nd open BICC in 2008 to name two top flyers with these birds. Merlin
The Thone Birds are top class albeit ,expensive possibly the reason they haven't attained flavour of the month status, the early Rolands were decent birds, the latter leave a lot to be desired, just my opinion.
