Guest strapper Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 paratyhoid was widespread last season, although some didnt have it a good many did. if i was you i wouldnt listen to advice from anyone on what it could be even me.... and get your birds tested asap...this could ruin your breeding season. im sure most would agree its best to find out ...then wait and leave it multyply in your loft.

Guest strapper Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 scotty1, im not suprised they were lame after spending that amount of time locked up in there box just think about all there wing strengh as gone should be ok after a few days dont go running to the vet and waist your money leave it a while first . i dont see why you would suggest this, if this is paratyphoid if left to your advice he could have much bigger problems...vets charge roughly £15 to test ...i dont see how this money would be waisted. if the birds have been kept in for a week its very unlikely that wing stiffness wouldnt affect them to this extent. this is only my opinion........paul.
hotrod Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 strapper read the origonal post mate he kept them in for a couple of weeks till 5 days after laying this could mean between 14-19 days locked up

Guest Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 paul he said in his first post they had been paired up for weeks and locked in the boxes for the duration
