I am looking to settle a friendly argument the question being:- in scotland can you be a member of two seperate federations, opinions please!

yes,

I was asking because i seemed to remember that g. macaloney & son flew in lanarkshire & midland feds and there was a bit of a carry on about it.

my memory is a bit vague about what actually was the outcome, maybe someone can enlighten us.

can you give me any examples of present day fanciers who race in two feds.?

Hi

This is Lanarkshires rule no 33

Dual membership with other federations will invalidate membership of L/F

Only members holding dual membership in 1986/1987 will be accepted

Clubs applying as new members must comply with this rule within 12 months

of acceptance or acceptance becomes invalid

This rule was introduced to stop members flying in other feds and no contributing weekly to

fed funds.

There is still members who hold dual membership

G MacAloney & Son now from 2009  GWP MacAloney left the Midland fed and joined

Lanarkshire and there was no problem of any description

welsh north road fed has a standard pay per week if you race or not.

£6.50 a race.

you can race in two or three feds..as long as you pay you play.

a m8 of mine flys south east and direct south.
