Guest anto Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 who a how will the south road fed inforce the rules for ets, will they go out and check to make sure pad's are in the right palces i dont think so when they could not even do a rambon test for something else the dublin lads will kno wat i mean.. 8) 8) theres no rule dub saying pads have 2 be sealed in place and ets is in 4 the first old bird race on the 11 april its coming in 2 fast i dont think a lot of fanciers will be ready
Guest Dublin lofts Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 you could be right m8 a bit 2fast 8) 8)
Guest WINGS 04 Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 i was against ets but i have had 2 systems unicorn and taurus but i won more when i had my t3 or stb as mick says they don't make the birds fly faster but when you get 1 you will say wit did i do with out it
BANDIT Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 I AGREE ITS COMMING IN AND NO 1 REALLY KNOWS THE RULES, ALL I KNOW IS ONCE THE SYSTEM IS IN THE LOFT YOU WILL BE ALLRIGHT EVEN IF YOU HAVE OPEN DOORS ONCE YOU CAN GET THE BIRD TO SCAN . THERE IS ALOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS AND WE NEED THEM ANSWERED QUICKLY. BANDIT
kirky Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 it wont take long to put rules in place, as thay will have other unions to go by that already have ets.
BANDIT Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 thanks kirky do you have to have the ets in the confins of the lofts, i know its a silly question but when i get the pad im going to put it on a step just before the traps ie bob wires the bird will scan before he goes through the trap, the bob wires are 7 inches into the loft on an internal sliding door. the loft has an outside sliding door whith i lock at night therefore anything passed the outside door in my opion is inside the loft. bandit
kirky Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 our rule says it has to be inside the trap, cant be on landing board or underneath it.
THE FIFER Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 the bird really must be inside the loft, in captivaty, I had stall traps so i sunk them into the avary roof, so birds are in loft when they drop in,
Guest youngzimmy Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 MIND AND GET UNICON BEST SYSTEM ON THE MARKET TODAY
BANDIT Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 Iwas told the pad had to be inside the loft and everything would be allright so there is a play on words ,my ets pad will be 7 inches inside my loft the traps would be just after that less than an inch away. if i had an open door id be ok as to get in the bird would have to go over the pad and be timed. whats to stop anybody moving the pad inside or outside the trap? once the bird is home its home end of story. some of my best birds all hens were clocked outside the loft dropping at my feet after a race and then being timed in to win. bandit
Guest youngzimmy Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 IS THAT NO CHEETIN I THOUGHT THE DOO HAD TO BE INSIDE THE DOOKIT WITH RUBBERS AFOR YEA CLOCKIT IN THE THING WITH ETS IS THE PAD HAS TO BE INWITH THE FRONT WALL OF THE DOOKIT AFTER THE TRAP BOB WIRES OR WHAT EVER MY SYSTEM IS BOB WIRES WITH AN INSIDE LANDING BOARD 1/4 PLY WITH PAD SCREWED TO THE UNDERSIDE THE BIRD GOES THRUE THE BOB WIRES STEPS ONTO THE INSIDE BOARD CLOCKED IN EASY FOR ANY SMART ALEXES IT ALSO HAS AN OUT SIDE LANDING BOARD FOR THE BIRD TO INISIALY LAND ON KEN WHIT A MEEN

OLDYELLOW Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 what is your take on it oldyellow dose it take the avatage of the disabile flyer and give it bk to the able body flyer?? 8) been disabled myself i can see the advantages of the ets but its there not to advantage anyone but put all abilitys on an equal footing if they wish to embrase the technology on offer , hopefully finances will allow me to get it in for this season if not i shall have it for next season without a doubt
Guest Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Why is there going to be a big rush for ETs, its not like it makes the birds faster, only real advantage IMO is that you can clock more than one a lot quicker, and is that worth forking out nearly 700 euros???
Guest gladdo Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 this ets is mad i think ... nobody has a clue exactly what is happening ..im not familar ... i just cant wait to hear more...i heard our club is getting tauris ...anto how are you and jack getting it for 150 euro less ???????? mikey
