This year I intend to continue to fly a team of naturals for the longer races, however I have decided not to fly roundabout, but fly the cocks only, thus being widowhood. Youngsters will fly to the perch as usual ;)

we will be flying

well just chilling really fantails don't fly a lot so we will be watching the fantail strut their stuff picking corn jacks been throwing for them bathing laying I the sun (HOPEFULLY) and preening their feathers

maybe some of you racing fanciers should think about having a few fantails about they are GREAT for the kids lovely to look at and a nice distraction while waiting for your WINNER to come home

Widowhood Cocks will be my No1 team. A small team of hens on jealousy, to try out flying hens for the first time in years.

YBs, darkness and dual widowhood. Hens to the bitter end. Cocks about 4 races and if performing well, stopped. The lazy sods will go all the way with the hens.

I'll be flying my team of natural hens again as had some success with them last year. I've also introduced a team of 9 widowhood cocks to fly this will give me 21 old birds in total to fly against the 40's 50's and 60's that each of our members send each week.

As for YB's I will be putting them all on the darkness this year and hoping that I can better last year and end up YB Average winner instead of runner up.

Looking forward to expermenting with the widowhood cocks the most

i tried raceing hens on widowhood,

they wernt that good tho.

foloowing year i put sum of the same hens on the dual

widowhood an they raced realy well an sum of them won

For sprint races a team of natural hens take some beating. Get them on chipping eggs and you'd be surprised at what they can do. Plenty of chucks from 12 miles. Barry McNicolas has some good systems for this in his ways with hens book.

Kevin Hurst also mentions in his east to west book that he had a lot of success with natural hens on chipping eggs. He also gives a system called the routelle system for racing hens thats supposed to be the bomb
