pjc Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 while breeding they are on 24/7 in the breeding lofts, not on currently in the race lofts until winter so i can feed them in the evenings.
OLDYELLOW Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 i have lights i extend daylight by an hour whilst pairing but otherwise i dont have them on
kwango Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 i have lights but only use them at end off young bird season to make them hold there flights for the last three races when other birds are falling to bits

Guest Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 i have lights only use them when its dark and i cant see
cowman Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 my stock loft lights come on at 3am and off at 7-30am when young birds are moved into their section they will have 16hrs light per day as i don`t like darkness .
Tony C Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 The only need for lights is for those that have trouble feeding in the winter months apart from that its not a necessity.
