pjc Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Don't people read the threads? How does anybody know if its any good? 1st post says its an 08 bird so how can anybody claim its crap when it won't have been bred from! Those that bother to read what's written will see!

Guest Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 A gentleman would have the common sense not to belittle another's club. Or another fanciers achievements
bullcock Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Chris your obviously a new start and quickly finding out there is a few dodgy people out their, follow the S.H.U. rules ask your club secretary for advice and get the bird properly and legally in your name and train the bird with your old bird team (if you have one) and give it a few short races to about 100 - 150 miles then if its still their stop racing it until next year and if its any good it will repay your patients. if you don't have an old bird team just train it out with your young birds and race it next year. Good Luck
Guest asha Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 How come everone slagging me off :-/ i`m trying my best to help
Guest IB Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I had bother finding out who the rings my gift pigeons were registered to; did 2 things: spoke to my club secy who agreed send pigeon as trainer in 2008, and spoke to secy of club ring was registered to - bit of a transfer trail but got rings transferred to me later that year, and even applying 14-day rule, bird was still raced out to 237 miles. I think advising people to race birds not registered to them, and racing birds not registered to you, is wrong. If people are willing to break this rule, then what other rules are they prepared to break too? Where does it stop?

blaz Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 How come everyone slagging me off :-/ i`m trying my best to help me because any thread i see your post on are all ways negative but you have ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT belittling other peoples birds lofts etc i have done my homework on you and now you wonder how
bullcock Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Absolutly nothing but give it a mate and race it natural or widowhood, training a single bird will give it extra experience as it has to think on it's own and will make it a better bird but if your luck enough to get it out of 150 miles racing I'd stop it and put it by to next year and be very happy with it. Remember pigeon racing is a patients game and it takes time to build up a good experienced racing team.
