Guest IB Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 all i want is the bird transfered to me and race it in old bird races.i dont have an old bird team.whats the harm in training it and racing it as a single ?????????????? Last year, one of our Fed members lost all of his YBs bar one. He flew that hen on her own and she flew the Fed program. If you want a bit of fun during OBs, then transfer the pigeon, vaccinate and train him. But then comes million dollar question: how far and how many races are you expecting from him? Might find it hard to stop him?
blaz Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 and if you lose it your new yb will come from them and you get the likes of him

Might find it hard to stop him? see how he goes and take it from there.what distance should his first training toss be.hes been flying around the loft for a week
blaz Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 he is now just a pet got him back after given him to a friend when i gave up but now we are racing again he is back
JADE Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 see how he goes and take it from there.what distance should his first training toss be.hes been flying around the loft for a week if he`s never been trained before you should treat him like a young bird. two or three short tosses (3 to 5 miles) then increase the distance. watch the weather and dont train in east winds. good luck
Guest Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 if there is anyone close to you ask if they will take him along with there birds when training. it will teach him to break out of a kit and i feel he would be better trained with a kit rather than singled up after 4 or 5 times with the kit you could single toss jmo dave
Guest asha Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Hi Tenny, ASHA, Your are a total t**T , you are an obnoxious arrogant *expletive removed* sho knows nothing about pigeons! do us all a favour .. f..k off and log out So polite,i bet your parents are so proud how they brought you up.
Delboy Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Hi Chris, don`t listen to all this bad advice, you can train ,then race the bird with no problems, then once it`s coming well transfer it,otherwise if you lose it early, you don`t want to have a £30 bill to have it sent back to you. :) :)you know it makes sense. If any of these t**ts on here say different, just ask them if they are willing to pay the £30 for their bad advice. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
