Sorry, don't like to criticise mods or admin very often, but i feel that locking a thread that someone has hijacked is not the way to sort the problem.

The recent thread had nothing wrong with it, and received posts to exactly what it was getting at, so in effect they win again, and the posts remain in place for all to see (including non fanciers), is that the publicity we want?

Why not just remove the posts and warn the offender or offenders and leave the thread open? Then just 3 strikes and out.

I have sorted the thread which I think was in question and opened it, sometimes its not easy sorting posts out, and to do so other posts which are not wrong have to be moved as they relate to posts moved and would not make sense if left on, thanks for ur attention,

the problem is the one instagates all the problems is left on getting away with it

Agree, the people involved should be struck off the site, full stop!!! Or they could meet and do 3x3 minutes rounds to sort out the issue. :)

thats why they get locked for [well most of the time(evil)(evil)(evil)(evil)(evil)]and i think sometimes it does everyone good to calm down,as well as the legal aspect of some of the posts are "doubtful"?

I agree Mickb, closing threads stops absolutely nothing. It just keeps coming up else where, or hijacks another thread / topic.

Have sent the Mods what I think, and knows works.

give them a room to have a battle of whits no rules no moderating and let themselves sort it out , the other alternative is to click the ignore button  ;)

if threads have the facts they should be left to be discussed if they start to get personnol then  the culbrit should be warned publicly then removed if warned again and then allow the debate to continue.

As has been said above certain people like to cause trouble and keep dishing it out but as soon as they receive retaliation they cry wolf, throw there toys and complain to admin/mods!

Was a another room called 'Roly's ring'. As I explained to Oldyellow.

TO enter you had to have had aplied for another pass word / code. this ensured that any one that wanted to be in there had applied, and knew the rules.

When a poster got into a personal heated debate whatever, one would offer the other to 'Step into the ring'. Here - incidently turned out to be the most popular place of all. There ones expressed, related etc. exactly what they wanted.

IF, as some tried, then with onto the public domain and spouted, the then posted was deleted and replaced with 'For the Ring.

Reason, well simple really, they were wanting outside moral support, was looking for fresh ammo, and most often had lost the case.

Seen many on one side agreeing, debating etc. whilst the same ones would give grief large in the 'Ring'.

Yes need mods to stop some repeatedly trying to force it out up on the domain as a whole. But soon most got the message.

You know what, the site was even more hughely popular. Friendships often bore fruitage from the scuffles, and it above all put an end to the nedless, annoying hijacking of threads, and the repeating of topic closed being re - open under another plore.

Phil your right with what your saying, but don't have to read about it on every thread they post! Maybe on a relevant thread then yes but not everyone. I'm not saying who's right or wrong, but don't want to keep seeing it, and i'm not just referring to Black W/F and Timbarra, there seems to be a few personal disagreements at the moment.

nobody wants to see it, whoevers involved. Timbarra was banned and since has been reinstated seems to be causing nothing but more trouble!

Sorry Phil, I don't see it that way at all mate. I'm not taking sides, but I read most threads that come on here, and TIMBARRA has posted on many of them with honest opinions and good advice to many people. I think the problem is that some people CANNOT leave the past IN THE PAST and keep referring back to situations that have long been resolved and are now HISTORY. The man serves his sentence for what ever the reasons were, and that is where it should be left. Too many people have too many bees in their bonnets and thats where the problem lies.

Read the post that's relevant to the topic instead of digging up well rotted manure. JMO

just shows what you know bob must be spending too much time on net

thats my opinion you no nothing about it

That's just the sort of provocative comment I was expecting from you. It matches some of your other comments where you set out to cause animosity. For the record, I have been a member on here since October 2006, and what's more where and how I choose to spend my time on the internet is my business.  :P

I don't need to know the past mate. I have commented on what is relevant to current issues, something you should consider practising.

My last words on this current issue, and by the way the SKY IS BLUE, I checked it for myself  ;)
