Guest strapper Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 can i still train my old birds why they still have young in the nest yes!
Roland Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Of course.... Natural flyers race them then.
Peckedhen Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Yes you can, some fanciers use the babies in the nest as a motivation for the OBs to return fast. The only thing is, if you loose the parents training, you will loose the babies too, unless you can foster them out.
christopher Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 thanks start training this week had them out to day they fled for a hour
blackdog Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 all depends on the age of the young,if very young i would leave one of the parents at home just in case you get a bad training chuck as if young miss a feed it will do them no good
christopher Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 pin feathered i have 5 hens to race and 5 cocks late breading this year just started
blackdog Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 in that case christopher leave one at home mate,no good taking chances.
wilkins Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 yes best to leave one at home unless they are close to weaning
