Sounds right to me. I used to take em to work, and take 'em 50 60 mile all points of the compass. Last year, me old birds had two 10 mile training chucks, in to racing, 7 inland races 1 over the water. Then Palamos 751 mile. Kind of got to the point where I think, why do we train? My pigeon that did well from Tarbes still turned round and did just as well from Perth and he had never been raced North. If they are fit they don't need the work and if they have a good instinct they don't need teaching. Young birds are a whole different thing though. Hmm or are they?
