little sam Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 wish a had the chance of a 30 mile toss every day would have them away i Same here
pigeonpete Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 in my opinion you would burn them out if you were to do this week in week out, and you would lose good birds, hawk wires etc, mine never go further than 17 miles twice a week, and fly twice a day around home. a 50 mile chuck every now and then would be good for chanel racing, singled up.
the pigeon_milker Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 your lucky to have that option if i was you i would split them cocks one day hen the other resting any that find it too hard as and when they need it good luck with your races
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Once a week until a couple of weeks before the Nationals start then give them 6 tosses in the last 10 days before basketting. Give them too much now and you won't get the season out of them. cheers

Guest asha Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Hi Kev, if you fancy it,do it mate, that certainly will not hurt good birds, but if you want to win after that punishment, lock them up for 5 days and then basket ,you just try it on a couple. ; Only problem i see could be when you can`t get that training in future years, could mean different type of bird evolving, putting you back several years. :-/
