Novice Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Well done with the project. Not much response on this forum. Perhaps it would be a good idea to explain it to the members. Worst possible time for fanciers with Friday being marking night.
jimmy white Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 The filming went well today and the kids were great, the programme is scheduled to be on BBC Ssotland news around 6.30 tommorow night. > absolutely fantastic, looking forward to seeing it,we could doo with more of this,
TERRI Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Bryan I'm glad to hear the filming went well and as stated, there should be more of this. I put your post on pigeonchat to share your good news with the members there, hopefully you will inspire others to do as such. I also posted this link so they understood what it was about, because if I had personally not been curious enough to check it out, I may have missed what your post meant, particularly not living in Scotland and as It turns out, that would have been a real shame. I hope the members will also click on this link, as I have said well done to you, I wish you all the success in the world. Please try and post a Lin k tomorrow if at all possible. TERRI Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Hi members check out the thread of Pigeonchested.................."doo the right thing" I have posted a link so you can all see what Bryan is doing, its a brilliant idea and I wish him every success with his project. TERRI http://www.scotlandinfocus.org/an-area-adjacent-to-young-peoples-pigeon-loft or click on this one above.
Guest Freebird Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 What an excellent idea. I take my hat off to these people for taking the time and having the insight to help youngsters and promote the sport of pigeon racing. Youngsters involved with the breeding, rearing and racing of pigeons would certainly not damage lofts or birds in the future knowing just how much dedication it takes. The interaction of these young folks with the older generation and birds can only be good for the future. Click on the link and leave your comments and this will show the country that pigeon people are forward thinkers. Do it now, PLEASE!!! http://www.scotlandinfocus.org/an-area-adjacent-to-young-peoples-pigeon-loft
pigeonpete Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 i have merged these 2 threads together, to help keep the topic easier for everyone to read, and keep up with, excellent work by all involved!
dazza Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Congratulations to all involved in this. Hopefully it can be a great success and act as a model for other schemes around the country.
TERRI Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Hi Bryan, was it shown on TV today and has anyone managed to get a link for us to use so we can all see it. I have already posted my comment when I first read what you were doing, I hope everyone else will give you abit of feed back, as my husband said, it takes a special kind of person to give their time so willingly to such a project, pigeonmen don't always want to share their time or their secrets with comparative strangers no matter how good the cause, TERRI
Guest 67ghirl Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I watched for it but didn't appear to be on :-/
Guest 67ghirl Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Oops just noticed it might have been last night :B
Peckedhen Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 A brilliant initiative. I'll look forward to reading how it progresses. Well done to all those involved. Sue
