Roland Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Isn't it about time, and I'm asking, and also putting a point across, that we all Emailed the Reddings to Levy every member £2 - that's less than a pint - to put into place a P.R. Firm? Isn't it about time we got our clubs to propose and second the Feds, and then the Regional RPRA to put into place a P.R. Firm. In short isn't it about time we made a effort and have the case put forward that we need - for £2, an able P.R, firm for the many reasons that I oft spout about! This also to be to put across a campaigne to attract more members also. Remember we are getting less and less each passing year which in it's self obviously means dear costs.
Tony C Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 I'm all for what you suggest Roland. What we need is a proposition made out with all the i's dotted and t's crossed so it don’t get bounced back at us. If there's anybody out there that could put together such a proposition I for one would put it to my club, If we all done same and got it passed at club/fed level the regions would be saturated with the self same proposition. The RPRA & other organisations would have to take note and hopefully act.
Roland Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 I feel, and not putting Albear under preasure, but he has penned some very similar motions / Emails etc. to be sent in the past. I'd reconmend him ....
Guest Vic Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Roland! At our time of life you must be joking. Just over a large bucketful of corn is now costing at least a tenner, and always remember that any pr systems have overheads, 75% at least, so we are looking at a miserley 50p for starters. AND WHO RUNS THIS SCHEME? Retired mps or ex Army Officers. ;D There is a shop by me, that has a sign on the window that states:- ONLY TWO MPS ARE ALLOWED IN AT ONE TIME! ;D ;D ;D Vic has been branded a man of doom recently by red cheq hen, which I found unfair. Any pessimistic human being would never have it within him to stay in this game as long as I have. But I still love every minute of it.

The RPRA are their OWN PR firm, they are always bigging themselves up. :-/ All in hand Roland my friend, all in hand.
Roland Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 Mind I possibly, with hindsight, have PMed Albear before posting that. But know that he will take it in his stride, also as to what he may or may not think about it. He is a deep, meticulous thinker, often putting another side to any equation. So know whatever he thinks or does in any regards he has thought about it first and no one, but no one will twist his arm or lead him where he doesn't want to go.... Indeed a first class member to have aboard in any capacity in any concern.
