WELSH WIZARD Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I am taking 8 SU rung birds to Manchester from Plymouth tomorrow to liberate. They range from 05 to 08 rung birds. These have been collected in the local area. Do not ask why I have not phoned the owners, because they are not wing stamped and they are all double rubbered. Beggers belief how they got threw the marking stations. it is only an rpra rule that states all birds have to be wing stamped. in the shu young birds only, by the way i am not saying these birds belong to shu members.
midnight_son Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I got a Mealy cock from Alencon arrive at 9.20pm tonight. I wonder if he was one of those released in Manchester.
The Navigator Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 well i am glad we dont all take that approach. i have a bird in from lerwick race took time to find owner then phoned them gave some of my details then phoned them again to get it sorted for the bird going down next week via courier.also had to warm bath it as it was in a right mess, now it is taking up pen space and getting fed watered and cleaned daily .but now the old couple know their bird is safe well looked after for as long as it takes them to get courier sorted. she then asked how much money she was due me nothing i said the happiness and gladness in your voice is enough. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW WHARE YOUR BIRDS HAVE GOT TO. I tell you what mate you need to get a life. I have ran around picking these birds up at my time and cost and yet we have one person who moans about what I am doing. I have did it for the birds welfare to have a chance of making Scotland and not flying 500 miles from Plymouth. Make sure you wing stamp your birds and I will leave them where they are. By the way folks, they went up at 13.35 in overcast skys. Hope they make it.
