Babybird Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Good idea. Did you see at Michael Jackson's trial the woman that release her whites one at a time when he got each not guilty verdict? I liked that

Guest IB Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Seem to remember reading RPRA are trying to organise something at London Olympics, maybe an International or One Loft Race?
Pompey Mick Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I believe that there has already been correspondance between the RPRA and the London Olympic Committe on this subject. I have put forward to the RPRA the suggestion that we hold a Pigeon Olympics using the RPRA one loft race with National teams being entered to compete against one another in a series of races at various distances incorporating Olympic centres. These could be YB or Yearling or both. Hopefully my suggestion has kindled an interest to exploit this once in a lifetime chance of massive TV coverage of our sport.
OLDYELLOW Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 no harm having a one loft race for international birds but every loft in country should be able to send in there own wright as well

gooner Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 why not make it an international just like the olympics, have the biggest lib in the world ever, just think the unc lib was 44000 what if we could have a lib of over 100000 birds
gooner Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 the first prize woyuld be the title of olympic champion
pjc Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The RPRA 1 loft if still going could have a race from there and maybe every member in the UK, if they wish be permitted to enter 1 bird each for free and olympic medals be awarded!
REDROCKET Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 there'll be no shortage of ideas for this event.
Guest bigda Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 we would look aright ar-se to if the weather was crap
LDS JOHNSON Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 i like the idea would every1 be able 2 send
REDROCKET Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 we would look aright ar-se to if the weather was crap great idea digda look at the advertising potential half a dozen transporters sitting in the centre of the running track for 2 or3 days waiting for good weather. lol
