same as pigeon man there looks to be no ventilation which you will need to keep the birds healthy

Thanks for all the compliments.  just a quick update.

john the height of the trap isnt an issue for me, i am 6 foot 4 inches tall mate..

 

as for the ventilation, the loft has a stable door on it so i keep the top half open all the time with the trap infront of it.  i have also put vents in the back of the loft just under the roof height.  do you think this is sufficient or should i also put some vents in the front of the loft close to the floor?

might be wise to put some vents either side of the door about a foot from the floor
