Ive trained my young birds about  12 times in two weeks 2 at 3 miles, 4 at ten miles ,4 at fifteen mile 2 at twenty mile is this enough to send to selby tomorrow theyve come ok abit split at times but usualy within ten minutes of my return, should i miss the 1st race and train some more ,your honest opinions please would be much apreciated.

HOW FAR IS YOUR FIRST RACE AND WHATS THE WEATHER AND WIND LIKE AT SELBY?

yes the same race next week i am splitting my team in to two 18 x 18
best way mate it only takes one bad race or weather to wipe you out, all the best hope you do well.

not botherd about winning any thing just want a experinced yearling teamfor next year  ,up to a hundred mile will do me for young birds and ill pull them i never raced my young birds last year and got wiped out with them in the 1st race lesson learned touch wood this time thanks for your advice

if you want to race widowhood by all means stop your cocks but i would send the hens a bit further.

i just race natural but cant afford to loose to many again this year ,i flew ten year ago i dont remember racing being this hard ,losses are or seem to be alot greater
i blame the weather mate even the weathermen cant get it right lets just hope we get some good saturdays.

if you dont think their ready then dont send them.you can still send them to the drop back races.just select a few that have been coming well from training and race them instead of risking the whole team.that way you will have a cracking bunch of yearlings for next year.

am sending my best 18 tomorrow if that goes badly ill still have another 18 and some latebreds to fall back on and decent stock but well see ill let use no on satday night

 

where are you racing from on saturday?

Chuck 'em all in then see if you can sleep. ;D ;D ;D You've done your bit they will be fine.

Mine are off to Lamballe on 22nd and they aint done any thing like that much. ;)  :);)

i had 19 tosses mate, last sun sent 26 to a 78 mile race, got 23 back, they should be ok

20 birds gone in the basket tonight wont sleep a wink me and our lass will have to find something else to do
