I let my birds out and they just show no enthusiasm to fly at all. They will fly straight onto the house roof and they will fly directly on the loft and the trap when called back in. But in between they dont seem interested to fly at all. I have weaned them off 2 weeks ago and thought they might have taken a few short spins by now? I leave them out for an hour or so but they just seem content to sit on the roof. Any ideas to get them flying or am I being impatient? If I am expecting to much to soon, is it wise to leave them sat on the house roof in gutters?

for what its worth my oppinion is dont rush them, while they are outside looking around they are getting their bearings and noticing landmarks and certain things around your garden and loft...dont be in a rush to get them up flying, they will go when they are ready. :) :) :)

ps... in reply to your question about them sitting on the house roof in the gutters.........no you dont want them doing this.

First part I'd agree 100%!

Second part, I love them sitting on the roof tops etc. You will notice, observe, and see far far more there than you will ever see in the loft. Every thing, their' 'Flag' they put up there when they want you to see it.
