Guest Owen Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 kev43 I still think you should check the ventilation out. And as someone else said, you may have too many birds in there. If the ventilation is right you should not need to use anything to sweeten the smell of the loft. And you should be very careful at the idea of using chemical sprays or for that matter smoke bombs around the birds. All birds are very sensitive to air born chemicals. The fact that they don't actually die is not the best guide. If you get this wrong you may find that they can not come into form. So if your aim is to win pigeon races, you could find that the birds will not be able to do it for you. If it is moths you are worried about, why not make up a couple of suitable boxes and put those sticky fly papers inside them. No chemicals to be bothered about and the moths will be greatly reduced if not gone altogether.
