big blue bar Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 this is the first year ive had the young birds on darkness and have noticed most of them still have two or three flytes to throw will they keep moulting them or will they stop ? all the old birds through the moult
Guest shippy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 bluebar a lot of my young still got two to go so dont worry 2yr ago had a yb with 2 to go when i paired up just carried on and cast them
JAS Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 They will keep moulting we have had some youngsters still growing there last flyte in january.
Wiley Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 they should carry on moulting till january time blue bar, alot of mine have 2 and one to go currently, but the odd one or two have 3, and one has 4 to go, i expect the ones with 3 and 4 some will have a complete moult while others will hold some young bird flights, but this doesnt affect there performances as old birds
big blue bar Posted November 10, 2009 Author Report Posted November 10, 2009 cheers guys that ok then thought they might stopp once they were paired up cause its no long now till pairing up
shweet Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 What about if they are still in a heavy body moult ? Will I still be able to pair up soon ? How long does the body moult take ? They went into it heavy as soon as I put them on Buttermilk, something I read on a thread on here a couple of weeks ago and decided to try, needless to say it works lol.
