Breaking birds to a new loft

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Ok so all my birds are in their new home and the old one is pulled down and in bits in the garden.

When and how would you all recommend teaching the birds to home to this loft?

Don't want to lose any obviously so please feel free to give advice but preferably from experience.

Thanks all ! :)

what age are they ;)

soak pigeons with warm water and washing up liquid put outside loft take them in before they dry 2or3times should do it when you let out next time soak them and let them  dry out and leave them to go into loft on there own and next day let them come out themselves you should not have a problem with them

im sure they will manage to settle to their new loft quite quickly,, once they have been fed a few times in their new loft, let them out, they will soon know where they now get fed  ,,in their new loft :)

let birds have a good view out for about 2 two to 3 weeks. they will know where loft is and food .broke birds start of this year and had a grate season racing them no problem.if any birds go back to their old loft get them back right away.if back on same day put in loft for hour then let out again. make sure any birds going back to old loft get no food or water at old loft.best of luck if stuck ask jimmy the encyclopedia white.i dooo i wold not soak birds or put washing up liquid on them .them that do need some put on their tongue
