Ian McKay Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the team at Kingslea 1 Loft Race May I take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the last two years which helped to make this event the success it is. As you may know we had a charity syndicate this year which was fully subscribed and meant I could pay out £2,400 to the given charities. For 2010 I came up with the idea to try and have a school syndicate fully paid for by pigeon fanciers, to achieve this with a lot of help I had 2 charity sales of pigeons donated by pigeon fanciers all over the UK and Ireland, to my amazement the two sales raised enough money to have two fully subscribed 40 bird syndicates, meaning I have 80 schools in the race for 2010 with prize money of £4,800 which is completely Free to the schools. I wish to take this opportunity to THANK all who helped out with this project and made it such a success. For 2010 I hope to have White pigeons for the raffle prize which will be more attractive for the children's syndicates. As usual there will be syndicates for pigeon fanciers at a cost of £60 per bird with prize money of: 1st £1000 2nd £500 3rd £250 And the first pigeon home from each race to Kingslea Loft will win £50 Should you wish to be entered in the race please contact me to date I have paid out a staggering £11,633 Book your place (£60) in this most unusual and fair One Loft Race. Alterations to the loft are under way to give the birds more room but only 40 birds plus raffle birds will be kept. I will breed approx 55 young birds, so like previous years I hope to give everyone a bird for the first race. No replacements will be initiated after the first race.
