Action Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Here is the story. I just got my first pair (free, Thanks Chou) They were paired up about 10 days or so before I got them. They dropped an egg the day before I got them. They dropped the 2nd egg at my house. So I only had 1 egg. They seemed to be sitting just fine. Checked the egg today (5 days) This is also my first time candleing eggs. Seemed to be clear and cold. They don't seem to be sitting on it at all times. I assume the egg is no good. My question is: should I get rid of the egg and get them started on another set ? Or should I let it run the cycle (18 days +/-) and then get rid of it? Thanks for any help. Jack
marmite Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 bin it and let them go down again m8

Jack the hen has laid the egg because it was already formed. they have neglected the egg because of the move...remove the egg and as stated let them go down again.
