Im so stressed at the moment, just tried to settle 6 birds out of 30! The 2 youngest have been out and made it back in the loft  :) 3 others havent come out  :-/ and 1 has been out flew around a few times landed close to the loft, on the loft, then flew bloody off  :'( Is this normal?

just take it easy Josh, if youre stressed the birds will feel or sense that and re-act to it.    andy.

These are Rollers Pete (no racers as yet)  ;D Trying to break them to a new pen in another section. They have never been out before though.

 

Just went out and hes sat infront of his pen in the loft. Would you say hes broke?  :)

they will go no problems mate, give em a day or 2 :-) dont feed them in there old section.

Get some racers then mate, then you will see stress on a raceday :-) :-) my wife leaves me alone, spend most of the day on the phone :-) Telling people it was here for 20 minutes before he went in :-) :-)

lucky she has that choice Pete(evil) i have a pal who says were there 10 mins before any body else, by the time he reaches the clubhouse on a sat night he could have topped the fed(dizzy)  andy.

the best was the trees were blowing the wrong way, so they were spooked??  :-/ ;D ;D

i have rollers mate. wot i do with new or young ones is let my kit out or just few cocks then just before they are comeing down let new or young out on to loft roof they if they take off they join the kit as its comeing down, or kit lands on loft

How many would you say id loose out of 30? I was hoping to break at least 25.

 

Would you leave the door open as im doing and let them come out in their own time?

yes one got spooked and took off, dout shes a gonner now.  :o

dont lose hope mate i have had some go all day and nite only to be sitting on loft next day ,also try to let them out just before you feed them. hope they come back for you mate

only 1 missing from 4 i had out. So hopefully 3 broken. Will try some more tomorrow. Got to get them broke asap so if i loose any can breed extra this year  ;)

KEEP the 3 in for few days and them let out just before feeding. it took me 9months once just to break one cock even had him on eggs and with young still shoot of to his loft from were i had him;

part of the sport mate you have to take the ruff with the smooth like any sport mate you have your ups and down the one thing that still makes me laugh when i had my ybs on the road training my mate took them 30 miles libbed them waiting for them out side with the misses had to pop to the toilet the misses shouted me came running down the stairs she said here you go look there back was wood pigeons flying over ;D you need nerves of steele in this game i'll have grey hair come oldbird youngbird season is over.

yes mate still got rollers, not been out for few weeks due to bop, last time out it took my best pure white cock,never let it out but sod law it got out when i was cleaning them out,they already to pair up but keeping them waiting as got to sort lotf out as i have some races now,

The hen which was spooked came back last evening and trapped for some corn  :) Just put 7 out to try and brake them, 3 have already been out before so im hoping alls good  ;)
