Guest stb- Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 mines is all wire on front and dont cause any wet droppings .As long as its dry inside and the birds are not walking about wet floors all day
stantheman Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 if its really exposed to the weather and the rains driving in I would screen the front off with something that lets air in but keeps most of the rain out theres plenty of stuff that you can use rain deflection netting from garden centres also the stuff builders use on scaffolding is ok and does the job
aye ready Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 mines is completely closed in apart from vents, have a corridor and open the main doors on good dry days,i think it depends a lot on the way your loft is facing jmo

Guest Owen Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Humidity is very bad for pigeons, whereas fresh air is essential for their health. Your open front will be good for them but if you have wet inside it will ruin your chances. But, before you jump to conclusions, you should get the droppings checked. They could have worms or cocci.
