ch pied Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 our lass has a ford ka its done 50,000 been well looked after, seems to have lost all its power any ideas if the engine is hunting , it could be the idle control valve or the airflow meter .
just ask me Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 yeah same thing happend to mine its a sensor that detects the amount of petrol going to the engine ill find out the name of it
mac1 Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Posted February 2, 2010 what do you men buy hunting, she put her foot to the floor and its lucky to do 30 mph thanks for the interest mate
Guest puresoontjen Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 petrol. not getting enough fuel. change the sparkplugs. or a brakedown in the distributor. or one of the air pipes as come off the air intake. stikey valve. or tapits needs to be adjusted.
Guest joshdonlan Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Air filter could be blocked or spark plugs gone? Any other symptoms?
ch pied Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 what do you men buy hunting, she put her foot to the floor and its lucky to do 30 mph thanks for the interest mate its a term for ,,rough idle ,,,,,,,foot to floor could also be fuel inj blocked / restricted . it need's pluged in to a TAC 1 fault finder , and see what trouble code's come up ..check for a loose or burnt HT lead,, 1 Lead braking down & it woulden't pull you out of bed

ch pied Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 couldnt see no sparks but when she knocked the engine off the was a hissing noise coming from the head i think :-/that's a whole new ball game , 2 thing's to do ,,,1 check for oil in the rad header tank , where you top up collant/anti freeze,,,2 pull the dip stick & check for water in the oil .
Guest puresoontjen Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 i would say it off at the back of the engine its a thin pipe as big as T bar sort of size
