Guest cosmic dave Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 The last loft I had (Back in 1990) I had a trap fitted to the front so the birds to exit/enter the loft. Is this method OK to use when racing and does anyone know where I get the plans or pics so I can build another one ? The last one I built from a book but I cant find this book again. Thanks David
pjc Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 find a pic of a sputnik and use that as a template. you will find examples on www.rvwoodcraft.co.uk

Thanks David depends on what clocking system you intend useing a conventional clock or an ets system sputnick, stall trap,or another type
Guest cosmic dave Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 I'm not sure what you would call it DJW, the front of the trap has a hinged door for the birds to exit and above that is a landing board with Bob wires. The birds can be trapped inside or enter the loft if the iternal door is open. Thanks pjc that link is great. David
