i was at an auction not too long ago in fact been at a few  1 in particular i was there with a couple of mates  1 of my mates said i am  going to speak to the ringer  and give him some good advice to which i said whats that he replied

that if he trys his normal running up any thing it will be his last so i asked him to explain he told me that normally some of these auctions have false bidders in always be aware of it  and they run you up to pay inflated prices  we seen this first hand at doncaster  old comrades  show  ask gangster he knows as well also some dodgy dealings so always be aware at auctions   mind not all auctions or auctioneers are like that  like all else some good some bad

like our own Stuart wilcox  who has a very good reputation for fairness for both partys buyer and seller in fact so much so  i know a guys birds he will auction later this season who not only speaks very highly of him he also says he is by far the best  pity all where not like Stuart  JMTs

Agree totally with BLACK WF in that I have attended several auctions run by Stuart Wilcox, and on each and every occasion, I have found Stuart to be very fair and honest, long may it continue

I think it goes on more than people realise, when there are 2 or 3 helpers on mobiles bidding, who knows if there is anybody on the other end or not!

But its like anything in life you go to buy, set your budget and stick to it, only pay what you are prepared to pay!

yes lads its a pity when these  guys inflate the price as they seem to forget we are only working lads but even if we where not it is bang out  of order and if any caught doing so should be punished to fit the crime as it is just another form of theft  JMO

Stuart is a real gent and has twice gone out of his way to help me out, And he also took the bird i gave to the Edinburgh Charity Show up to Scotland which saved them the carriage costs.!!!

Blackswan I believe you outbid me on this site for Heroes auction lot 56  there was a five min rule and I couldn’t get back on the site in time to outbid you. don’t understand what you have just said with regards to buying birds on this site.

people do it on all different types of auctions, ebay is a prime example of that, I know people who have multiple accounts that bid on there own auctions, they also get other people to bid for them as well.

Unfortunately thats one of the downsides to auctions, sometimes you get as bargain other times you dont.
