big blue bar Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 what does all u guys with all the experience think off single tossing ur birds does it help them think for themselves on the final miles off there journey . i single tossed them tonight about 12 miles they were all home no probs
adam owen Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 i love it start in 3 or fours then work dwn to one or two by doing this you will build confidance into them and they will think for them selfs and it pays off in the end
nogin Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 PUT THEM UP IN TWO'S M8 THEN THEY'LL RACE HOME, OMO 8)
big blue bar Posted April 7, 2010 Author Report Posted April 7, 2010 its the first time i have done it usualy don t have time to single toss should maybe try abit further next time about 25 miles
adam owen Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 nooooooooooooooo 12 miles is way plenty its the final stretch home thats wat you want the the last bit is to brake away and really race home stick with what you doing mate
shaun h Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 i did it to day in 2s but thats cos ive only got 2 hens and 2 cocks and the hens got back better than they've ever done. when they were gettin trained with pals birds they took longer as they play about with them before coming home as he only lives down the street.
big blue bar Posted April 7, 2010 Author Report Posted April 7, 2010 where we are flying from we need them to break about prob about 40 to 50 miles away or they will get draged to far west with the main drag of birds in scotland we are flying the east coast if the birds don t break at fife and come across the water thats where the dog leg is u can kiss your winning any big races good bye
adam owen Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 i can see wat u saying but i wouldnt want to double up or single toss at that milege
Guest bakes Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 ive tossed all mine singel up from 30 miles to learn them they got to fly back on there own done this a good few times as wonting to go over the water with them as 2 year olds club fed raceing you can get away with the drag as most the birds are coming into one area anyway channel raceing they got to be able to break and fly back on there own.
