Roland Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 Roly dont disagree about the politicians but they only say what you want to hear and most of them are prob high up in rspb if there is nothing in it for them they will do there usual ans. a question with a question wast of time i will try and paste a thing about them sums them up Agree Jim.... lining own pocket and staying in the public eye. Glibbed tongued and two - faced. No doubt about that. SO that is why we must give them a wagon to wave from in the vote catching and 'Thing' to be remembred and associated with. The 'Do - Good aspect of saving the wild life and back garden birds, public awareness and THEN fighting for a worthwhile VOTE catching cause.... Yes Most people don't know, yet if properly informed, a vote catcher I have no doubt.
Roland Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 An Israeli doctor said, 'Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks'. A German doctor said, 'That's nothing! In Germany , we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks'. A Russian doctor said, 'In my country medicine is so advanced, we can take half a heart from one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks'. The English doctor, not to be outdone, said 'Hah!. We can take two arseholes out of Scotland , put them in 10 & 11 Downing Street and have half the country looking for work within twenty-four hours'. does this sum them up and sorry sammy It was actually Two Texan's and America when I posted it.... But how a Scot has .... :-/ ;D ;D ;D

Roland Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 So smugder... Just 'arses' then!! ;D ;D ;D And if I hit a raw nerve, great! Been 30 odd years now of spouting, and leaving ANYBODY and whoever as long as it doesn't mean paying out a quidy, or getting of ones *expletive removed*!!! Fat or otherwise. And who do I think I'm talking too.... Bit obvious that I'd thought 'Spouting while sitting on their arses'! I have several letter, done much so have been off my *expletive removed* and trying! Seems, like a certain MP stated back to me 'Thoses names, of position whom you thought would be interested.... didn't even send back a reply, let alone an acknowleadgement'! Yes they also get paid to sit on their areses...'
Roland Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 Made for the job lol. Might be better letting them have a cause, a corner to fight and get recognised.... Best up and comers I guess at that lol!

Roland Posted February 26, 2009 Author Report Posted February 26, 2009 Roland, when I was at the Royal Welsh Show back last July, I visited a tent called The Song Bird Survival Trust. They feel much like us about the hawks. And they are opposed to the RSPB. They are looking for members and I know that they have a lot of gamekeeper type people involved. It might be an idea to make contact with them and see how far they have got and what their plans are. The one big benefit about getting in with them would be that they have an organisation up and running. It could save us time. Regarding your idea about contacting Politicians. I think you are on the right lines but a bit previous. Why not lobby our RPRA reps. so that they will put pressure on the organisation to help with money to fund some publicity. It would be a logical place to start and it would have the advantage of finding out if you can get the suport you need before you try to go big. Yes Owen, and again it is as exactly what I am spouting yet again.... 'Little children help mother' And Frank wrote Quote ....... I’ve got to disagree Roly, the rspb is the vote catcher dont mean to sound all doom and gloom but there is only 1 way to get anything done is do it yourself simple... Must disagree on the first part - second is self explanatory, that the RSPB are so good and clever because they use PR. Firms, are in the media pouting 'Good Things' whilst neglecting to mention the bad things that they stand for. Further THIS is the very core of what makes them their money and public awareness. But would folks be so eager to just tag along and chuck their cash in Willy - Nilly if they knew that their money was actually harming, desecrating the very thing(s) that they wish to protect! I think not, indeed a big backlash would be the reaction I believe. Further any and MOST MP's need and are always looking for a Cause to champion. Saving our hedgerows and Bird life could very well, indeed would be a cause to champion! And smudger, if my writings on this subject, or others is a bit strong, even forceful, then I apologise not, for that is how I feel about it. I am fortunate not to have any hawk problems in reality ... two / three tops in ten years. I do have one nest 80 yards away, and another the other side about 500 yards away or so. But that is by and by, I feel for all birds, and of course for fellow fanciers strongly in their plight. So if I offend, tough, it is far far better to say and offend, if only a little headway is gained, that tinker along with yes men and play follow the leaders and gain sweet Nothings.
Guest Owen Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Roland, I don't know if this will help but another area we can attack are the Hawking People. Who the hell gave them the right to go out into the country and kill birds and animals in the name of sport. Together with the RSPB they are responsible for releasing all sorts of birds of prey and, worse still, hybrids into the wild. We need to expose them for what they are. Bloody vandals. The cat lovers are not far behind. They leave a very efficient killer to kill what it likes. They will often say that, "It is nature", when you bring the subject up but they still carry on feeding the damn things before they turn them loose..
sammy Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 thats cause i need ta put up wae you but iam better looking than him but his sister was hot!!!!!! AFF TOPIC ;D ;D ;D

Owen I agree wholeheartedly with every word you say. You know.... heaven forbid, but oin reality I'm suprise the 'Animal Right' actavists' haven't took a closer look into the very thigs you have mentioned above. Cats, in their own right are a needed sauce of control regards vermin. When the 'Cats of Rome' had a Ken Livingston approach and got shot off... they quickly had to bring them back - indeed got cats from anyway and which and let them 'ROME' 'Hence the lincense to Rome' Cats are accountable for any persons animal / pet / or bird here. I, for one, would certainly not like to see any species eradicated, only a apt and sensible balance acheived. Likewise I had never thought about, let alone remove any persons cat. It is their fundemental right to have one etc. the same as I have for pigeons. But surely enough is enough in regrds Hawks/ falcons and the likes of magpies and sqirrels!
Roland Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 You know, in real terms, just looking at, and going through the previous posts, one could quite easily count on one hand those that would stand up and try to put across any idealistic, practical way, of combating the Hawk Problem. Indeed even muster a way forward that they may well support and get of their bums to try and make some in roads to our entire problem. Never mind the ‘Digs, slanting, or Pete’s nigh raving at me, let’s face it, JUST who will, is going to put them selves out a little in this regards?! 90 odd percent are quite able to put forward a reason why not too… Many times this is indeed ‘Fodder’ been fed cleverly via the hawk brigades… which again is an easy way to sit at a desk and press keys, and hope it will go away. Well I will be back in touch with a few MP’s again. And a few EMP’s, hopefully *expletive removed* a conscience or two at the ‘Pigeon’ lovers in Brussels etc. Yes, alas a lack I know the very answers that will come back … ‘love to help, but need support from the Pigeon fraternity… they are too heavy to carry, won’t help themselves’ etc. And as for the people in Joe Public… well as they don’t know, realise there is a problem in this regards, there is no show boating here to be had.’ In other words no mileage to be gain, especially as several others need to get on board before a ‘Champion’ for the cause will step forward. I know, as you all should know it, and worse still the laughing lot at the RSPB know it! So most will again while away waiting for that rich idle businessman that their dreams have, giving all up to come to the rescue. Won’t happen… besides having a successful business to run, a family etc. Why does one think they employ loft managers for…. Because they have too much time on their hands?
