We are all on a mission!!!, the problem is for some petty reason we cannot agree on the way to go about it. How ridiculous!!! One aim, to prove to the British public that the RSPB have fecked up big time, not only now, but for decades, regarding their so called management policy of Britain's Birds. They are a joke and the British public should be made aware of that.

i think a good option would be to approach celebs and try to get them on our side....joanna lumley did well for the gurka,s

im sure celebs would get the petitions and matter in the limelight better than we could...just a thought! :)

if we could get a celeb to speak for us then im sure we could get this rolling a lot faster and better.

dunno but expect this has already been thought of.. :)

although one near here who is on tel at the moment on spring watch likes preditors they also realise what the effect they have on our wild birds ;D ;D

More and more people are realising the effect that BOP are having on the wild birds, so hopefully the support these people were giving to the RSPB will decline like the Song Birds

The sad fact is that this should be the domain of the Unions and not well meaning fanciers starting their own groups. Our base problem is the structure of the RPRA in particular, it is the Union with the resource to take on the legislation. Unfortunately we have a general manager who is just that and I'm not criticising the General Manager he seems to be doing a very good administrative job which is what he's employed for. What we need is to rid of the role and get a chief executive whose job will be based on his performance and the targets he meets, an office manager can be employed to run the reddings. The said chief will be responsible for two main issues the hawk issue and how to increase membership, these are really the only two items at the moment of importance, there are many others  but they pale in to insignifigance, if we do not solve the two main issues our sport as we know it will be dead in 20 years. By the way I think the SHU deserves credit because it is/has made genuine attempts to tackle the hawk problem.

Finally I wish all the individual groups well but stop attacking each other. It seems obvious the two on here have different ideas, I think it would help both to get on with it, if one group wants to move on anonymously what's the big deal. It may or may not succeed and if Numpty's method works and I certainly didn't know the information in the advert of the BHW, it was enlightening, good luck to him. The only thing I would say is that the petition site may put people off because it is American, isn't there the facility to place a petition on the directgov site? Anyway enough from me I doin't want to get embroiled in arguements just to say good luck to all, you'll need it!!
